Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve Making its debut on the Apple iPad

BlackMagic DaVinci Resolve Finally Coming for iPad in Q4 2022

DaVinci Resolve for iPad is a video editing software optimized for the new iPad Pro and Apple Silicon. The app boasts 4x Ultra HD ProRes render performance, as well as Apple's Neural Engine. The software also supports H.264 and ProRes formats, as well as Blackmagic Cloud.

The software can open and create standard DaVinci Resolve project files. It's also fully compatible with the desktop version of DaVinci Resolve 18. It supports Apple ProRes and Blackmagic RAW, and can import footage from the iPad Pro's internal storage, the Photos library, and external storage such as the iPad's iCloud.

The application is also optimized for the Apple Pencil and MultiTouch technology. It also offers color finishing tools, cut and color pages, and HDR workflows. The app is expected to be available in Q4 2022. Users can also purchase the in-app version of DaVinci Resolve Studio, which will allow them to render and colorize HDR content.

The iPad version of Resolve will come with a full-featured color tool. It will also support exporting Resolve timelines to the desktop. It will be free to download. It will run on previous-generation iPad Pros and non-pro models. It will also support media stored on direct connected storage on the iPad, and will have extensive keyboard and mouse support.

The new iPad Pro has a new M2 chip that provides enhanced video features. Combined with dedicated hardware encoders and decoders, this chip helps improve production speed. The new iPad is also compatible with the Apple Pencil. These new features make it possible to edit HD video in the iPad Pro.
