Flipkart Metaverse Called Flipverse
With the launch of its new metaverse shopping platform, Flipkart is entering the virtual world to give consumers a more immersive and gamified shopping experience. The platform uses virtual world technology to let consumers experience products in a 3D virtual environment. It is designed for smartphone users so that they don't need a VR headset to participate in the virtual experience.
The company said it is focused on creating a new experience for customers and businesses through the new app. Among other things, it has introduced Supercoins and digital collectibles from partner brands. It has also created gamified experiences that encourage users to earn Supercoins and spend them on different products.
The new app will also let users interact with the stores in the virtual world. They will be given a digital twin, similar to the avatars in games such as Grand Theft Auto. Users can interact with these avatars to interact with the brand stores and experience products in the metaverse. They can even buy items from these digital counterparts by tapping on a table.
In order to create a new metaverse shopping experience, Flipkart has signed up 15 brands to participate. The platform will feature 100 products from the brand's catalogue. This service will be accessible to all Android users who download the Flipkart app. The virtual platform will be accessible for one week and will feature products from brands such as Noise, Puma, and Ajmal Perfums. Users will also be able to use the app's on-screen controls to roam around the virtual world.
Flipkart is the largest e-commerce company in India. In partnership with eDAO, the company will create a virtual world where consumers can purchase items online and interact with brand representatives. In the virtual world, consumers will be able to browse brands and buy products with Supercoins.
The virtual world will include games, NFTS, and brand activations, including Puma and Lavie. Some of the other brands participating in Flipverse include Campus, VIP, Noise, and Butterfly India. To access the virtual world, users will need to install Flipkart's FireDrops app and choose a username.
The company has also partnered with eDAO to create a digital treasure hunt during the Big Billion Days sale. This virtual treasure hunt will allow shoppers to unlock various digital collectibles across a variety of categories. These include gaming, sports, and art. There are thousands of items available, which are free for Flipkart Plus members.
