Motorola Moto X40 With Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Could Launch by End of 2022
Motorola is widely expected to introduce its next flagship smartphone in the coming months. The company has already launched the Edge 30 series in India earlier this year. One of the most notable models is the Moto Edge 30 Ultra, which was the first smartphone to feature a 200MP rear-facing camera. The Moto X40 series will also likely receive an upgrade.
The X40 is expected to be Motorola's first smartphone to feature Qualcomm's latest flagship chip. According to the Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, Motorola will launch the phone in November or December. Qualcomm is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in November, so the Moto X40 could be one of the first devices to debut with it. Besides the Moto X40, other smartphones expected to feature the new processor include the iQOO 11, OnePlus 11 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon family is widely used in smartphones and tablets, and they have even found their way into smartbook devices. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor has a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, which is faster than the latest flagships.
