OLA Plans to Launch its First Electric Car by 2024 Officially Confirmed - Full Details

The company has just released a teaser of its upcoming electric car, and it has already revealed several of the key details. First, the Ola Electric car is expected to feature an ultra-modern interior, including a futuristic steering wheel that looks like something from a spaceship. It features a horizontal-rectangular shape with chamfered edges, two-spoke design, and an 'OLA' logo embossed in the centre. There are also backlit buttons and controls, and the dashboard is expected to be minimalistic.

The company plans to launch six different electric cars, across two platforms, beginning with its first in 2024. The teaser features the interior and exterior of the car, but there is still no official announcement about the car's price. Nonetheless, it shows the company's dedication to electric vehicles.

The 2024 Ola Electric car teased by the company looks futuristic in design, with a connected LED light bar and illuminated Ola logo. The car also has a coupe-like roofline and an all-glass roof. This car will have an impressive number of technologies, including autonomous driving, a regenerative braking system, and autonomous driving capabilities.

The Ola Electric car is expected to go from 0 to 100 kph in four seconds and will feature a range of 500 km per charge. Another feature of the car is a glass roof that minimizes drag, while maximizing range. It will have an impressive aerodynamic profile with a drag coefficient of 0.21. The Ola Electric car will compete with the Hyundai Kona and the MG ZS EV in the electric car segment. It is also expected to be keyless, allowing for hands-free driving.

The first Ola Electric car will be on sale in India by 2024. The company has not yet revealed the price, but it has teased a few key details. It is expected to start at around Rs 25 lakh, and come with a battery capacity of 70-80 kWh. It will have an 0-100 kmph time under five seconds, and have a drag coefficient of 0.21.

The design of the Ola Electric car is yet to be unveiled, but it appears to have a sleek, minimalist design. Its air intakes are smooth, as well as the LED light bar on the front fascia. The headlamps are also different, and the car has a sculptural look.

The company has partnered with BYD Co to develop its battery-powered bZ3 sedan. Its debut at the Beijing auto show was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The car will be manufactured in China, but Toyota did not say when it will be in showrooms. However, the bZ3 will be the second model of the company's Beyond Zero (bZ) series of battery-electric vehicles. Despite its recent news, the company has been criticised by environmental activists for not adopting BEVs quickly enough.
