Samsung New 200MP ISOCELL HP3 Sensor with 0.56μm pixels

Samsung Announced new 200MP ISOCELL HPX sensor with 0.56μm pixels and is about 12% smaller - Full Details

Samsung has announced a new 200MP image sensor for its smartphones, which is known as the ISOCELL HPX. It features 0.56 micrometer pixels and is about 12% smaller than the previous version. This new sensor can fit into a 20 percent smaller camera module, which should make it easier for manufacturers to make smaller smartphones.

The sensor is expected to be used in the Xiaomi smartphone. The company has been promising to use the sensor in its upcoming flagship phone, but the device has yet to launch in the market. Xiaomi, on the other hand, already announced that it will use the 200MP sensor in the Xiaomi 12T Pro. The ISOCELL HP1 is capable of 200MP resolution, but it is still too expensive for many people.

The new ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor is another new product. The sensor can capture images with a resolution of 108 megapixels. The sensor's 0.8 micron pixels can retain sharpness even when zoomed in. The camera's increased sensitivity can also improve image quality in dark and bright environments.

The new ISCOCELL HPX sensor is a step towards more compact and affordable smartphones. The new sensor has smaller pixel sizes than its predecessors, which enables manufacturers to produce thinner smartphones. It also uses a new technology called Super Quad Phase Detection (QPD), which uses a single lens to detect phase differences in the horizontal and vertical directions. This technology promises faster autofocus.

The ISOCELL HPX sensor was first announced almost a year ago. However, this new sensor has not yet been included in any Samsung smartphone. It has been used in Motorola's X30 Pro smartphone, which launched last month in the Chinese market. It is also compatible with other brands, including iPhone.

Using the ISOCELL HPX technology, the new sensor can capture up to 8K videos at 30 frames per second. It also integrates a new Smart-ISO Pro feature, which combines image information from Low and High ISO modes. It also offers a triple ISO mode, allowing the camera to express images in over 4 trillion colors.

As a leader in advanced semiconductor technology, Samsung has continued pushing the limits of mobile image sensors. The new 200MP ISCOCELL HPX sensor can shoot videos in 8K resolution at 30 frames per second and 4K videos at 120 frames per second for slow-motion. The new sensor will be the first in the industry to feature 4x4 pixel binning.

With these features, the ISOCELL HPX sensor will deliver fast and tack-sharp autofocus. It uses a unique phase detection autofocus (PD) technology known as Double Super PD. This system compares the left and right phases of an image to determine if it is focused or not. The result of this technique is a sharper image even in bright situations.

According to the latest rumors, the new 200MP ISOCELL sensor will be one-third of an inch in size with individual pixels measuring 0.64um. This is an improvement over the ISOCELL GN2 sensor, which features 1.4um pixels.
