DropShip - Samsung Launched Cross Platform File Sharing App for Android and iOS
Samsung has recently launched a new file sharing app, Dropship, dedicated to file transfer between Android and iOS devices. Dropship is available for download in the Galaxy Store app, which allows users to customize their UI and access customization options. The app has features to help users share files across multiple platforms and is compatible with Samsung's Quick Share app.
The app allows users to select files, generate a QR code or link, and share the files with others. They can choose the validity of the file and set its expiry date. However, the app is only available in the South Korean market and has limited file transfer capacities. Users are limited to 5GB of files per day. Furthermore, the app requires a Samsung account to send files, but the recipient does not have to have a Samsung account to receive them.
Currently, the app is only available in the beta channel for Samsung Galaxy users, but it is expected to be available to Android and iOS users in the near future. In addition, the app is currently limited to users in the Korean market and is restricted to the country's population. Users will have to give permission for Dropship to access their files, but it isn't essential if they own a Galaxy device.
Users can search and share files based on file type and date, and can filter the files by date or file type. In addition, users can send and receive files with a few clicks using various apps. Alternatively, they can scan a QR code or enter the last digit of the file link sent by the sender. Other features of the app include the ability to create a preview card and dropship coordinates.
