Rumored Google Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro Come With New Google Tensor G3 3nm Chipset - Full Details
Pixel 8 Pro are rumored to come with a new chipset and run Android 14. Both devices are rumored to run a custom version of Samsung's Exynos 2300 processor. The new chipset is expected to be based on the same 3nm process node. The phone could come with as many as 12GB of RAM.
The new processor is rumored to be codenamed Zuma. The processor will be an improved version of the Samsung's Tensor G2, and could include a more powerful version of the company's own modem. The screen on the Google Pixel 8 will also be a higher resolution, with a potential resolution of 2822 x 1344 pixels for the Pixel 8 Pro versus 2268 x 1080 for the Pixel 8 base model.
The next-generation Tensor chip could be a key component in the Pixel 8 series. This chipset is capable of executing a high-end workload, and it has already been used in Samsung's Galaxy S8 series. If the chipset has the capabilities to do that, the Pixel 8 should be a great phone.
A new chip is rumored to power the Google Pixel 8 series. While the phone is not expected to be out until later this year, leaks of its specifications are starting to appear. In fact, one German website called WinFuture says the phones are codenamed Shiba and Husky. The phones were previously codenamed "Cheetah" and "Panther," so the new codenames could be a reference to the animals.
