Vivo Unveils V2 Chip - Third Gen Image Signal Processor (ISP) - Full Details
The Vivo X90 series will feature a new V2 image signal processor chip, which is expected to improve camera performance. The company has yet to announce the launch date of the X90 series, but it is expected to debut in December. The X90 series will succeed the popular Vivo X80 series, which is known for its excellent camera performance.
The chip will feature a self-developed AI deep learning accelerator, as well as a large-capacity static random access memory (SRAM) that greatly improves on-chip cache. The SRAM will also reduce the overall data throughput power consumption by up to 99.2%. Vivo also unveiled self-developed imaging algorithms that support telephoto images, motion capture, HDR, NR, and ProMEMC.
vivo has been investing in the imaging system for more than five years and has achieved some remarkable achievements. The company has also partnered with ZEISS, a world-renowned optics and optoelectronics company, to develop a new image processing algorithm. Together, the two companies aim to provide users with exceptional experiences, enhanced display, and more dynamic perspectives.
The new Vivo V2 chip is expected to improve overall imaging performance, as well as ensure efficiency. The V2 ISP is expected to be used in the upcoming flagship handsets of next year, including the X90 and iQOO 11 series. While the launch date is not confirmed yet, rumors suggest that the X90 series will be released at the same time as the new V2 chip.
The company has also announced that its new self-designed V1 chip is the first to be compatible with high-end SoCs. The chip is optimized for high-quality video and imaging applications. In addition, it features AI technology to enhance picture quality. It is expected to be compatible with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.
Vivo also unveiled the V25 5G and V25e, which are 5G-capable smartphones. Moreover, these two devices will be available in both blue and black. The Vivo V25 Pro will have a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. A 5000mAh battery will power the device.
Vivo also revealed a new series of smartphones, the X90 Pro. These smartphones will feature a V2 chip, up to 256GB of internal storage, a curved AMOLED display, and Vivo Funtouch OS. The Vivo V25 Pro and X90 Pro are already available in Malaysia. They will also come with a free gift worth RM697.
