Honor 80 GT Announced - Full Specs, Features, Price and More
The upcoming Honor 80 GT is expected to launch soon, and will come with a number of exciting features. These include a flat OLED panel, a dedicated display chip, and an under-screen camera. It also has a high refresh rate and an ultra-fast charging mechanism. However, there is still much we do not know about the device. We will learn more as more information becomes available.
At first glance, the Honor 80 GT looks like a regular smartphone. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right side, and there is a tiny punch-hole camera at the top center. But there is a large rectangle at the back, which will house the dual cameras. There are also small copper wires, which are supposed to help improve the cooling system. The back cover also has a special process to create a meteor-like effect. This makes the phone more visually appealing than mainstream matrix layouts.
The Honor 80 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. This processor is underclocked and comes with up to 12GB of RAM. Along with the chipset, the device also has up to 512GB of internal storage. And, it runs Android 12. On the other hand, the Honor Pad V8 Pro will feature a 12.1-inch display and a Dimensity 8100 processor. Additionally, the tablet will be the first to support IMAX Advanced certification.
The Honor 80 GT is expected to be released alongside the Honor Pad V8 Pro. Those who prefer a more affordable option might be interested in the Honor 10 as well. It's a cheaper alternative to the Honor Pad V8 Pro, but it doesn't offer the same features. For instance, it only has one rear camera, whereas the Honor Pad V8 Pro has a dual-camera setup.
According to the latest report, the Honor 80 GT will be launched on December 26. That is the same day as the Honor Pad V8 Pro. In China, the phone will be available for purchase at 7:30PM.
With its unique design, the Honor 80 GT will be more suitable for the Chinese market. There is also a possibility that the device will be available with a different storage configuration for the global market. It will probably not have a USB Type-C port, however. Regardless of the differences, the device should offer an appealing price tag. Hopefully, more information will be revealed in the coming months.
Another exciting feature of the Honor 80 GT is the thermal performance and cooling system. The smartphone will be able to stay charged for the entire day. Furthermore, it has a dedicated display chip that will allow for a high refresh rate. Also, it has a 10-bit coloration depth and a 1,400 nits peak brightness.
As far as the camera goes, the device should feature a 54-megapixel main camera, along with a dual-camera setup on the front. There should also be an under-screen camera, but there is no confirmation that the device will have a pill-shaped camera cutout.
